Micro CAAS enables the viewing of routine Police establishment tasks, pinpointing of special locations (usually points requiring protection) & planned reinforcements triggered off and/or associated with practical and operational information.

This information is displayed in visual format using files associated with 'points' (schools, places of worship, markets, main road junctions, ...) on the map which are modifiable according to changes in the state of events. It is also possible to view user-specified territories, sector-wise, so as to analyse and modify patterns of patrolling specific to different zones, reorganisation of their itineraries, etc. All incidents that occur are registered in a powerful Database and can be viewed and classified even before detailed analysis can be carried out at leisure.

'Official journeys' or major 'events'

An official visit creates perturbations and necessitates putting in place a specific plan of action for the police force, a plan of action, which can be adapted in real time to the operations as they develop.

The itinerary (timing and route) taken by the official convoy can be defined in the CAAS software and is cut into sections to which the forces of law and order are assigned for the mission. It is then possible to place precisely in each section, the personnel required to perform the needed duties from minute-to-minute.

In case of 'Incidents', (fights or road-blocks, for example), the assignment enables effective breaking up and repositioning of the forces of law and order in strategic sections around the critical point.

Statistics

A most useful utility for the GIS analyst to analyse the geography of crime and to adapt numbers and stationing of local police force in real time.

With an almost "journalistic" or photographic view of the crime picture, by type or crime, or even by location, it is now possible to relocate the positioning of local police forces in the most effective manner.

In a representation using Proportionate Symbols, one can represent Automobile theft, Armed robbery, Crimes of violence, burglary, etc; Administrators can visualise and react rapidly to the state of crime in a quarter or analyse and precisely note its distribution.
