Functionality offered by CAMS software

Myriad of GIS functionalities on map like Zooming, Panning, Go to, Search, Shortest Route (distance between any 2 points with intermediate steps), Isochrones (coverage from any point along the roads for a given distance or a given time) etc are offered to the user.

The user Zooms into the Map and various features start appearing at different zoom levels. By merely placing the cursor on a map point, underlying information will pop-up in the Info-box from the database. Graphic Display of this data is the USP of the system.

For Analysis, users can Query on attribute data of civic amenities in any particular Ward, view the results both as "Data" and on the "Map". An inbuilt utility allows easy plotting of Graphs on Maps. Powerful statistical analyses can also be performed on the data. This assists in rapid and effective decision making.

Example: Say a School is to be constructed in a designated area. Before actually building the school, various parameters have to be taken into account such as availability of a viable student population, assessment of the number of Schools already in the periphery of the proposed / residential area, availability of utilities like electricity, water supply, accessibility to the site, etc.

Lodging Complaits

A new methodology has been designed to keep track of citizen’s complaints. Utilities for lodging on-line complaints are available. Electronically trapping details entered by the user, the corporation can now contact the user quickly and with ease. If a citizen feels that his complaint has not been handled satisfactorily, he / she can escalate the case (get the contact details of the officer in-charge from the site) without red tape and have the problem solved at a senior level.

The CAMS software now gives citizens the ability to apply for permissions / grants / sanctions from the corporation with ease in the departments required format. It will allow users to download Forms and other documents on-line against electronic or conventional payment. The user can get a report on monetary charges of Services offered by the Municipal Corporation.
