A fully integrated administrative tool:

GeoConcept metadata are centralized in just one database to enable fluidity of data sharing and management of individual user’s needs. The console can be accessed remotely via a simple web browser.

Flexible user handling:

Users are declared in the central database under the heading of different roles (user groups, in effect). These roles are subscribed to one or more cartographic profiles. When the user connects to the map repository, information subscribed to by that user will be available to them as and when they need it.

Configuration requirement:

Storage of GeoConcept metadata requires a database server, while utilization of the console itself, an Internet server with PHP support (Apache or IIS). Scripts for generating pages and creating the
necessary tables on the server are supplied with the software.

Putting data sharing first...

Version 5.6 also features extra link facilities to external databases with the PostGreSQL link and geometry handling in OPENGIS and POSTGIS format. The user can, of course, always opt to work in disconnected mode in the event of network failure, or to update data when working in the field.
